Hi, I’m Kristine! A full-time Digital Content Creator for wildlife and the other half of 2425 Studio.
About
In 2019, Kristine moved to Toronto, Canada to pursue a Diploma in Special Event Management from George Brown College. Since 2021, she has been working full-time as a Digital Content Creator for the Communications Team at Toronto Wildlife Centre, a charity dedicated to important work in wildlife rehabilitation and education. She creates content that supports the centre's mission by raising awareness and funds for wildlife rehabilitation while also educating the public about coexistence between humans and animals.
As the co-founder of 2425 Studio, she collaborates with a team of filmmakers and creatives to produce, direct, and write short films. She hopes to build a space where everyone can learn, grow, and explore their creativity. She deeply believes in giving people opportunities to tell their stories and in providing a platform where they can be shared with heart, dedication, and a true sense of purpose, alongside her dear friend and co-founder, Stephanie Lee.
Kristine’s diverse background extends beyond filmmaking. She holds a transnational double-degree in International Hospitality Management from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde in the Philippines and Vatel Hotel & Tourism Business School. Her earlier roles, including producing multimedia for events like the Young Hoteliers Exposition (YHE) and Manila Food and Beverages Exposition (MAFBEX), as well as managing stage productions for the Benilde Office of Culture and Arts, shaped her creativity in all its forms. She was awarded a scholarship during her college years and completed her education while working on theatre productions with Benilde's Stage Production and Operations Team. Kristine also received the Best Production Manager award at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde’s Annual Theatre Festival, Crossroads 15, for her work on Ang Mansyon ni Mayor (2018).

Film & Video Work
Why Toronto's Pigeons Matter
Story Producer, Video Editor, Main Videographer & Interviewer
For Toronto Wildlife Centre’s YouTube channel, I created a short educational video celebrating the resilience and personality of Toronto’s urban pigeons. I got the privilege to interview TWC’s resident wildlife veterinarian, Dr. Cameron Berg, and Executive Director Nathalie Karvonen, who both shared their deep knowledge about pigeons and their natural history. For this video, I created a streeters-style intro, covered the most common reasons pigeons are admitted to TWC, and helped bust common misconceptions about them.
One of the Hardest Wildlife Rescues of the Summer
Story Producer, Video Editor, Main Videographer & Interviewer
For Toronto Wildlife Centre’s YouTube channel, I produced an episode that followed the Rescue Team through their not-so-typical day. I filmed several rescues as they unfolded, then sat down with Wildlife Rescue Manager Andrew for an interview to bring deeper context to the events that ocurred that particular day. Seeing both the fieldwork and the animals’ recovery gave me the chance to tell a complete story, which I shaped through filming, interviewing, editing, and story development. With feedback from my manager Brittany S. and teammate Melissa A., I refined the final cut into a cohesive episode that gave the TWC community a rare inside look at one of the most unique teams and the extraordinary work of rescuing wild animals.
Rabbits Rescued from Parking Garages
Story Producer, Video Editor, Main Videographer & Interviewer
This short documentary follows the rescue of two wild rabbits found trapped in underground parking garages on the same day. It shows how the Toronto Wildlife Centre’s Rescue and medical teams responded, cared for the animals, and released them back into the wild.
I shaped the story to give people a closer look at the challenges urban wildlife face, the quick response of the Rescue Team, and the care the medical staff provide in rehabilitating trapped rabbits. The episode followed them from rescue through recovery, ending with their safe release back into the wild.
Trapped on Queen Promotional Video
Video Editor & Main Videographer
Shot and edited a branded video for Trapped, an escape room experience on Queen Street in downtown Toronto. Created to showcase their uniquely themed rooms like the Midnight Arcade, The Carnival, Jack the Ripper, and 7734 Hound Lane. The video was created as both a thank-you and a way to help Trapped grow their social media following through ads.
Snowy owl trapped between Toronto buildings
Main Videographer
A snowy owl had been trapped all day in the light well of a university building in downtown Toronto. The large shaft opened to the sky, but the space was too small for the owl to gain enough height to fly out – he smashed over and over again into the windows and brick walls, injuring himself as he tried but failed to escape. This year is almost over, and many wild animals who are found in desperate situations like this poor owl continue to need help now and into the New Year. Thanks to donated supplies and vital funds, the Rescue Team was able to free the trapped bird, but with many damaged feathers he still needed expert care at TWC.
Toronto Wildlife Centre rescues deer trapped in Pickering wastewater facility
Main Videographer
On Friday, January 31st, 2025, Toronto Wildlife Centre’s team rushed to a municipal wastewater treatment facility in Pickering to carry out a difficult emergency rescue… an adult male white-tailed deer had become trapped in a 30-foot deep settling tank filled with sewage.
The buck had exhausted all his energy trying to escape, but managed to make it to a shallow overflow spot. The walls were too high for him to leap out, and the poor animal was wet, filthy, shivering from the winter cold and at risk of hypothermia… or being spooked back into the large pool of wastewater that surrounded him.
The experienced Rescue and Veterinary Teams, along with vital help from trained facility staff, banded together to figure out the best way to save the large buck (estimated at nearly 200 lbs!).
UFO Music Video Behind-the-Scenes
Video Editor & Main Videographer
Filmed and edited behind the scenes for UFO, a music video by indie band Blacksheep Motel. The video captures the process of making the project, from setting up shots and lighting to quiet moments between takes. It gives a real and personal look at the creative energy on set and how the dreamy, strange world of UFO came together.
Music Video: UFO by Blacksheep Motel
Camera 3, Production Assistant, and Behind-the-Scenes Photographer-Videographer
I supported the production of UFO by Blacksheep Motel as part of the camera team, operating Camera 3 during the shoot. I also assisted with on-set tasks as a PA and captured behind-the-scenes footage to document the creative process. The video follows a surreal story that matches the song’s soft, otherworldly vibe.
We helped bring an alien world to life in just one day. We crossed train tracks and drove from one location to the other to catch the light. It definitely got my heart racing!
Tiniest floof | Baby killdeer saved at
Toronto Wildlife Centre
Video Editor & Main Videographer
Killdeer are sensitive patients - but their vulnerable chicks are even more fragile, unable to survive alone. This little one had been found in a park, struggling to walk, peeping for her mother who was nowhere in sight. She was terrified, too young to fly… and weakening fast. A kind passerby named Usman sought help for her just in time. She reached safety at Toronto Wildlife Centre, but was weak, dehydrated, barely moving, and squinting. Carly, a wildlife rehabilitator, gently gave her fluids and a supplement, then settled her into a warm incubator to rest. When the baby still wasn’t eating on her own, Carly gently tube-fed her specialized formula to give her strength. Meanwhile, TWC Volunteer Ann, who monitors killdeer nests, had spotted a family with newly hatched chicks. Days later, when the orphan was strong enough, Ann introduced her to the new family. The mother killdeer ran straight to the baby, sheltering her and her four new siblings from the rain!
Ontario's turtles need help
Supporting Videographer
Road mortality. Loss of habitat. Human cruelty. The population of Ontario’s turtles is dwindling. These dinosaurs of the wildlife world are often overlooked, and their hard shells are not enough to protect them from human impact. They need our help. At Toronto Wildlife Centre, turtles are not forgotten. Every life saved makes a big difference to the survival of their species. In this special short TWC documentary, watch (until the end, you won’t regret it!) as our team does all they can to help each one.
